Hello again, Siloe readers! Fourth of July is right around the corner.. Do you have everything you need? We have put together a checklist for your Fourth of July weekend. Whether you will be attending a festival, heading down to the river, or just hanging out with your friends at a cookout, we're sure this checklist will help you.
It's pretty obvious that these American Flag cutoffs are a must-have for ANY Fourth of July activity. Throw these darling shorts over your swimsuit and head down to the lake, or pair them with a tank top and a statement necklace to attend your family cookout. There's something about jean cutoffs that makes us extremely happy, so we grab these any time we head out for a warm day on the lake. The american flag print is very vintage-y, making them perfect for use all summer long.
When it comes to searching for the perfect kimono, we become just as excited as a kid in a candy store. This navy kimono (perfect color for the fourth) is absolutely perfect for warmer weather, and for your Fourth of July weekend. With lace detailing and a fringed bottom, you can't go wrong! Pair over your jean cutoffs and a simple tank top to complete this rocking summer look. If you're always looking for new ways to combine items in your closet, this kimono is perfect to add to the collection. Pair it with your favorite sundress, cutoffs, or even jeggings during this warm weather.
It's safe to say that adding a colorful statement necklace to any simple outfit will make you stand out in a crowd, but how do you make it work for the Fourth of July? We are planning on wearing our favorite jean cutoffs, a simple tank, and adding a layered necklace for our weekend activities. Add a navy blue or red necklace for a patriotic-inspired wardrobe. Pair a ball cap or cowboy hat to your outfit to add to your rocking style. If your outfit has a lot going on, add a simple necklace for a touch of dainty sweetness.
We all know how the weather tends to be on Fourth of July weekend.. hot AND humid. We would absolutely love to pull our hair up in a tight bun to keep it out of our face, but sometimes that does not compliment our stunning outfit very well. For most of us, straightening our hair when it's humid does nothing for us. Our best advice is, let it all go. Wear your hair naturally curly for a sweet, natural look. When you get out of the shower, dry your hair with a towel and then immediately put in a dollop of your favorite mousse. Let your hair dry until it is lightly damp, and then blow-dry your hair on low for about 2 minutes. Hairspray is optional. Add a boho flower headband or a ball cap to add a fun touch to your hair style.
LASTLY, ENJOY SOME MUSIC!
Whether you're at the lake or tailgating at a fireworks show, this helpful playlist should make your Fourth of July weekend absolutely perfect.
