American Beauty

We've said it before and we'll say it again.. Fourth of July is right around the corner! One week from today you will be putting on those cutoffs and that graphic tee to head down to the river to watch fireworks, or maybe even go to a family barbeque? Whatever the occasion, we're here to help you perfect your Fourth of July look. This special holiday is all about the love we Americans have for our country, so what better way to represent that than to become the classic American Beauty? Follow this step-by-step guide to get this classic southern look.

How cute are these american flag jean cutoffs? A Fourth of July essential, these shorts are a MUST for your wardrobe. There are many ways to wear these darling cutoffs. Pair them with a simple tank top and a statement necklace if you're going down to the river to watch fireworks. It tends to be humid by the river, so less is best. We would go with a thin tank top with neutral color. If your holiday plans include a BBQ with the family, you could go for a classier look. We would wear a short-sleeved Piko top with the side tied up, and you could easily choose between your favorite pair of summer wedges or strappy sandals. Dangly earrings or a colorful bracelet would make this outfit complete. So don't forget, when you're getting ready for the Fourth on Friday, make sure to have these cutoffs in mind!

THREE THINGS YOU'LL NEED
1. Bobby Pins
2. Hairspray
3. A Comb

We like to imagine ourselves having perfectly straight hair while watching fireworks on the always hot and humid Fourth of July, but you and I both know that would never happen. Wearing your hair naturally curly is ideal, unless you start sweating. We've found the perfect updo for warmer weather, and you can still stay chic. Start by blow-drying your hair straight. When dry, take a comb and tease your hair just enough to get a little volume. Spray hairspray throughout for long-lasting style. Next, roll your hair to either side like you see in the picture. Use bobby pins to hold hair in place all night. (The more bobby pins, the more likely your hair is to stay up). When done, spray hairspray lightly throughout for extra hold.
